As we head for the halfway mark in our Crowdfunder, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who’ve supported our Crowdfunder so far by donating and sharing our page.

We’ve been asked so many times, “What’s the building for?” So I thought I’d share some of our plans.
Firstly, it’s extra seating on busy days. The number of customers visiting us has risen a lot in the last 6 months, and it’s great to see so many new faces visiting the café. Until we get nice hot sunny days when you can enjoy the outside seating area, we would like to be able to offer the extra space for you to enjoy your food and drinks.
Locally we have lost small community spaces making it difficult for smaller groups to have somewhere to hold meetings or events. With our new space we will be able to offer this as a local community hub. We will also be holding our own groups, workshops and events. One of our planned activities is a monthly lunch club. We feel this will be a popular feature and also benefit those feeling socially isolated.
We are already planning regular workshops to help those wanting to get back into employment and need to brush up on their CV or their interview techniques.
These are just a few of the ideas we have for the new space at Random. There are far too many to list, but they will range from family/community days, kids holiday activities and fundraising events.
